While I was shopping for the party today I decided to jazz it up by getting a kiddy pool for the kiddies.
Then I decorated the backyard a bit. I'm not sure whose boxer briefs these are, all I know is that they came out of the dryer this morning and I thought they would make a great 4th of July decoration!
Then I put up a nylon tent over the patio and presto, chango....we had a great party. I also bought bubbles and candy necklaces for the kids.
Me and my sister made a blueberry/peach cobbler that was yummy.
A fun time was had by all...and you all were right, we made our own fun memories.
Hope you all had as much fun as we did.
Oh yeah, and her new boyfriend is a sweetheart.

So you may be a ways off...in distance, but your pics made me want to just sit down and chill with the fam...Happy fourth blog sista
I got hit with some bug yesterday afternoon at 3:30 - I haven't been sick for awhile and it's amazing to be able to pinpoint a time so specifically. I was pushing my granddaughter on the swing at the park and my throat began hurting. Soon I was having chills and aching. I spent all night and all day in bed today, missing all the celebrations. We always go to the park and have a greasy hamburger cooked by the Lions Club (yummy!) I'm even going to miss the fireworks, because we always walk there to avoid the car crush going back home.
yummy - the barbeque looks good, and the kids look happy, and the pool looks inviting, and the tent and flags look patriotic and the boxers look.....empty?? Glad you had a wonderful time!!
Happy 4th! I like the undies as decoration... creative. I hope you enjoyed the day with the new pool.
We made a peach blueberry cobbler too! Must be an AMERICAN thing to do, eh?
