Monday night Capt and I watched the season finale of Jon and Kate Plus 8.
Normally he does not stay in the same room when that show is on. He has many issues with Kate's behavior and attitude towards Jon, as well as other things. Kate and husband could and should never be friends...it would be a disaster of magnitude proportions.
I was startled when right in the middle of watching Kate freak out when her children had a bit of paint on their hands, my husband leaned over and whispered in my ear that he had a fantasy
Before I let my mind run amok with that info I asked him what his fantasy was.
"I'd like to tie Kate down and watch her freak out when I splatter paint and mud on her because she's just too uptight about keeping her herself and her kids clean."
Oh.
I think I'll stop watching it in front of Capt, clearly it is affecting him in a most disturbing way.

Funny! I have never watched the show, but everything I read lately leads me to believe that it has not really been a positive thing for their family to be growing up in front of the world!
I have only watched a couple episodes, Theresa and I have to agree with your hubby. I find Kate's treatment of her hubby disturbing too. Guess that's what makes us all unique though - we each have our own likes/dislikes.
Enjoy next season... if they do one ;-)

i find her just as annoying and rude as you do....shes such a biotch to her hubby, but when it comes to the kids....i must admitt i have a slight case of OCD and understand the whole paint thing....give her a break in that area,the issue is its just ONE more thing she has to clean...imagine having 8 kids and the messes and laundry and cooking and teaching and discipline....im sure you'd go nuts too....but her hubby is sweet and supportive...maybe he should grow some balls and take his pants back....ya think?
My sis loves that show. I have to side w/ Capt on it. I think his idea would be pretty fun to watch. As I smile deviously...
I watched this show once and I hated the way Kate treated her husband. I felt bad for him.
But your husband's fantasy made me chuckle.
We watch the show! And my 4yr old watches it to. While I am all for being organized which I think she needs with 8 kids, she does tend to freak out a bit to much. If Capt does tie her up can I film it. It would be hilarious!
I'm glad my wife isn't that uptight. Sometime, when I get home from work, it looks like someone tied me behind a pick-up truck and dragged me home. Maybe Kate just needs a hug. Hee hee hee.
I only watched this show a couple of times because I'd like to b*tch slap the both of them. And it's not like they don't have plenty of help. She just freaks out way too much. Then again I do that too and all I have at home is a fairly quiet Devoted Spouse and the Golden Destroyer from Hades.
Kate is rude and bossy but apparently Jon likes it......a lot. Capn is quick. LOL
If I had 8 kids and 6 were the same age...well, I probably wouldn't be responsible for my behavior, but I wouldn't want anyone filming it! I always wonder how much of that is for the camera.....
Captain either really doesn't like Kate or is a little kinky. LOL I don't watch the show but am aware of its existence. Daughter #2 watches and tells me that Kate's a B*tch since her plastic surgery. Guess I'll hold off on that face-lift.

I watch the show occasionally and my kids love it, I can't imagine having that many kids at once so I tend to not judge her so harshly although I cringe at the way she talks to her hubby....then I wonder if my family was being taped 24/7 what people would think about me!
I agree with Capt. In fact the whole show tags on my last nerve. He has no, well you know, and she runs all over him. Then when he does decide to speak up, it's never at the time when he should have. And the fact that they do all of these extravagant things that no family of four could afford to do only because TLC foots the bill just frustrates me.I thought the whole idea was supposed to show what it would be like if average Jane suddenly had 8kids.....hello, average Jane doesn't have nannys at her disposal and a million dollar entertainment budget...I'm gonna get offa my soapbox now.......
