He's doing well, they took him off of the respirator after 24 hours and he's breathing on his own and out of ICU.
Thanks for all your prayers.
It truly is a miracle how someone can receive another's lungs and just start breathing.

Excellent news! There is certainly power in prayer, and medical science.
Praise God. That is awesome news. I pray for a quick and uneventful recovery.
It is truly a miracle. We have a young friend, just my son's age, who was born with cystic fibrosis. He was in bad shape so many times. He did a FDA experimental drugs, which worked wonders, but was too costly when the trial was done. He finally had a double lung transplant, is 30, married, out of college (took him 6 years), and productive. Praise the Lord! I am so thankful for your good news.
