great - my 6 year old kiddo had to just draw a picture of what he is thankful for (Thanksgiving holiday) and he drew a picture of my husband on the toilet with "toot-toot" scrawled above it and I love my dad under it - hubby is military and he just got home - and the toilet is where the kids gang up on him since he has no where to run!
Look at the difference in writing, it like the adult wrote "When" and really nicely then thought " I better write like a 3rd grader" What little kid writes ...? The woman stick is to neat as well.
No, I don't think the ellipsis is a clue to possible fakery. Maybe the teacher wrote on the chalkboard "When I grow up..." and the kid just copied that.
I think this is a fake, too. Kids rarely draw true stick figures but usually a shaped body with stick legs. And the letterforms are more like a second grader, but a second grader would make a more detailed drawing.
it is genuinely funny, therefore it is genuine, not "fake."
It's interesting to me the things people have pointed out as "clues" -- as an art teacher, I can tell you that the one thing no child would have nuanced is the curve of the mommy's chest towards the pole/handle. Still, funny is funny and that was funny.
The letter E gives it away. If a child struggles as much with curves as shown in the bottom center e, then the other uses of E will also show difficulty and would NOT be perfect as in the other lines.
What difference does it make; still a cute, happy email (that's how I received it at first) and right now, I don't know about you, but I could use something happy rather than all of the doom and gloom we are facing today.

The interpretation of child art should be a prerequisite to parenthood! How funny!
To funny. I love what kids come up with.
Actually I think it's a hatchet! She is probably a corporate raider and does hatchet jobs on lazy personnel in order to become the next CEO.

My oldest GD does amazing art - I should share some of it.
Awwwww that is so adorable! I really miss my boys being children and drawing pictures like that for me! lol xoxo
I'm calling Fake. This was obviously drawn by an adult and made to appear deliberately ambiguous.

Some 2nd grade teachers I know handed around a copy of a story a kid wrote about men riding three black "whorses."

Yes, this is faked.

Funny though.
